凱特·格林威獎
凱特·格林威獎(The Kate Greenaway Medal)，或譯作凱特·格林納威獎，是一項英國文學獎，一年頒發一次，於1955年誕生，為童書插畫傑出的證明。獎項由英國圖書館與資訊專業學會 (CILIP)授予該書插畫家。[1]
凱特·格林威獎常與頒給傑出兒童文學的卡內基獎 （根據劇情作者授予）一同被提及，兩個獎項皆由CILIP頒發[2]；而作為童書插畫獎，其性質與美國的凱迪克獎相似，但相較於凱迪克獎注重插圖與劇情的平衡、強調讓兒童理解，凱特·格林威獎更著重於整本書的藝術品質，力求閱讀時也能賞心悅目。[3]
若想獲得凱特·格林威獎的提名資格，書籍必須先在英國或愛爾蘭、且於上一學年（9月1日至8月31日）間出版[4]；若書籍已在其他地區出版，則須在原書出版三個月內，與英國或愛爾蘭的出版社再合作出版。書內如果有文字，則必須以英語（原文或翻譯後的第一外語）呈現。[5]
歷史
獎項名稱是以19世紀英國童書插畫家凱特·格林威 (1846–1901)的名字來命名。[1] 它於1955年作為卡內基獎的配對設置，隔年正式頒發給1955年出版的書籍刊物，然而一開始卻沒有合適的作品能頒予。[6] 1957年才由艾德華‧阿迪卓恩以《孤單的提姆》這本書拿下了第一個凱特·格林威獎。第一枚獎章鑄有「1956」的年份標記，僅自2007年後，獎章上的年份才改為出版後的頒獎年份。
